Marsback Zephyr Pro Gaming Mouse Review

It’s not very often we come across a mouse as unique as the Marsback Zephyr Pro Gaming Mouse. While RGB and elegant designs have become an industry standard, I applaud the Zephyr Pro for its bold use of a stunning RGB fan to keep our hands cool while gaming.

Unboxing The Zephyr Pro

Although it doesn’t affect the technical specs in any way, it’s hard not to judge a book by its cover.

When the Marsback Zephyr Pro arrived, I was really impressed by the way it was presented. The box was quirky and cool, and it limited waste by keeping things compact.

Opening the box, I found the star of the show, alongside some neat information about the company, a stylish card, and the product manual.

Zephyr Pro Design

Once I got my hands on the Zephyr Pro, it was difficult not to appreciate its sleek design, especially considering its fairly low price. I wasn’t expecting anything too stylish, so I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by the cool RGBs and fun honeycomb design.

The Zephyr Pro gaming mouse puts a unique spin on hours of gaming to keep you cool – a built-in fan. My initial thoughts were that the fan would be distracting, however, it’s surprisingly silent and unintrusive.

Another concern I had was that many mice that include gimmicks, such as the anti-sweat fan on the Zephyr Pro, can often be packaged with cheap housing for the product. The Zephyr Pro doesn’t feel cheaply made at all, it’s a solid product that ticks so many of the gaming requirements it actually took me a little by surprise.

On the underside of the mouse, there are two buttons that allow you to alter the RGB and DPI. This gives you some freedom to really make this mouse your own. However, these features can be pushed even further with the software that can be downloaded separately.

The Zephyr Pro also comes in two colors, both black and white versions of the mouse are available to choose from.

Of course, the main selling point of the Zephyr Pro is its built-in fan. The fan sends air through the mouse’s honeycomb surfaces, stopping your hands from getting too hot during intense gaming sessions.

Out of the box, I didn’t really notice much benefit to the fan, however, once I realized that you could use the buttons underneath the mouse to increase the RPM, on the ironically hot day I tested this, it really was effective.

Summary

With the Zephyr Pro gaming mouse, it really doesn’t matter if the hand cooling fan is something that interests you or not. This is an affordable, solid gaming mouse, which is made even better by the well-designed software that accompanies it.

It’s a lightweight, yet durable gaming mouse, that has managed to strike the perfect balance between performance and style.

The only real downside to the Zephyr Pro is the lack of additional programmable buttons, which might be an issue for some gamers. There are no macros like Corsair or Razer gaming mice.

While I personally don’t tend to get sweaty hands during gameplay, I found the fan to be refreshing. Although I would have still enjoyed using the mouse even without the fan.

Currently, the Zephyr Pro is only available from the Marsback website and cannot be ordered from other outlets such as Amazon.
